His jaw-dropping, entirely natural-sounding, and unforced/unschooled skill on acoustic guitar, matched with an authentic 'Belfast Blues' voice, draws comparisons with John Martyn and Rory Gallagher, as well as the likes of Van Morrison and Foy Vance. Dom was awarded Best Solo/Acoustic Act in the European Blues Awards 2019 and as a three-category nominee in the 2020 UK Blues Awards, picked up 2020’s Best Acoustic Blues Artist. He was again a triple nominee in the 2021 UK Blues Awards, he was again awarded Best Acoustic Blues Artist 2021, so he is now well established in the UK and European Blues scenes.
